"Faith Alone in Christ Alone"

"Life in Exile" - A Study of 1 Peter

As Christians, we live in a world that is not our home. We find ourselves restored in our relationship to God through Jesus, but we long to be with Him in a world that has been redeemed from the curse and where the presence of God is again with men. The great British journalist G.K. Chesterton once remarked that happiness “…is not only a hope, but also in some strange manner a memory … we are all kings in exile.” As a people chosen by God (2:9), we live with hope during the time of our exile because we know the truth of Peter’s words in 5:10-11: “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
