Thursday, March 5, 2026 Men’s Friday Fellowship/Bible Study The men of Riverwood are meeting at 6:30 am for a study in 1 Peter every Friday @ Tamper Specialty Coffee in Madison. There is also a group that meets at Bulldog Burger at 1 pm on Fridays. They have lunch together and pray. If you would like more information, call Jack Curry.   Ladies Bible Study The ladies will meet on Saturday from 9-11 in the fellowship hall for Bible Study led by Sarah Waltman. Bring your own coffee or tea.   Shepherding Groups We will meet this Sunday.  Your Elder will let you know when and where.  If you would like to be part of a small group, please let that be known or call the church office.   Youth Trip to Alabama Our youth have joined with Grace-Klein Ministries for several years.  They will leave on Sunday after the worship service and return on Friday (Mar. 8-13).  Pray for the logistics and that God would be honored in every aspect of the combined ministries.   Wednesday Evening Bible Study Midweek church Bible study through the book of 1 Samuel led by Dan Dennison, which has already begun. It will be primarily held in the Dennison home with some weeks at the Klamm and Jones homes. This Bible study brings the context of the biblical world alive with extensive use of pictures, maps, and other media to bring out the meaning of the text in its original geographical and archaeological setting. We have dinner together at 5:30 and begin the study at 6:30. For more info, contact Dan Dennison at 724-466-5827.   Riverwood Workday We have two workdays a year, spring, and fall.  Easter is around the corner, and our spring one is scheduled for March 21, from 8:30am-12:30ish.  More details will follow but mark your calendar.   Upcoming Sunday School Changes With the Trinity SS study ending, the adult SS class will begin a new study led by Dan Dennison that covers the Trinity in the Old Testament.  Dan will be teaching periodically in March and April on this topic and the Elders will be filling in when Dan is not available.  The schedule for Adult SS is as follows: March 8 & 15 – Darryl Waltman look at what the Bible says about personal finances and stewardship  March 22 – SS prayer time March 29, April 5 & 12 – Dan Dennison April 19 – Rabun Jones April 26 – SS Prayer May 3 – Yusufu Jinkiri (tentative) May 10 – June 28 – Dan Dennison   Upcoming Baptismal Service Following the pattern of the early church, we hold a baptismal service on Easter Sunday immediately following our time of gathered worship. If you or someone in your family would like to receive Believer’s Baptism as a public profession of faith, please contact the church office. You may also contact Thomas or Daniel directly.   Food Pantry Needs We are in need of paper bags with handles (the size of paper grocery bags from Whole Foods or Fresh Market) and individually wrapped packets of plastic utensils for the food pantry.
