Senior Adult Ministry
Romans 13:11-12 teaches us that our “salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed” and that “the night is far gone and the day is at hand.” Certainly an aspect of properly understanding these verses is that for every new day of life, believers are nearer to their heavenly experience of salvation than they were during their youth. With the time that God assigns to us, believers should celebrate all of God’s abundant blessings while also sharing the joy they have found in Christ. Doing so requires both a vibrant faith and involvement in a community of saints.
Knowing all of this, how important is it for Senior Adults to fill their days with godly friendships and worthwhile pursuits? The Senior Adult Ministry at Riverwood Bible Church seeks to equip believers with the means by which they can learn, share, and grow in the grace of God and provide godly examples to the younger generations of the church.
Fellowshipping with the Saints
The Senior Adult Ministry invites you to enjoy friends at:
· Monthly church fellowship meals with reserved seating for seniors (at the church)
· Monthly Bible study and prayer meetings led by Jerry Clark (at member’s homes)
Doing Something Worthwhile
Serving the church and reaching out to neighbors with the Gospel of Christ is one of the most important things you can do through:
· Homebound visitation
· Training up the next generation through Riverwood’s children’s ministries
