Thank you for your interest in finding out more about membership at Riverwood Bible Church. You will need to obtain a New Member Packet from the church office that contains the following information:
- A membership outline that explains practically what membership with Riverwood entails.
- A plain language statement describing Riverwood’s approach to Believer’s Baptism, Communion, and Grace Giving.
- A copy of the Doctrinal Statement and By-Laws of Riverwood Bible Church and a copy of the Nashville Statement on Biblical Sexuality.
If you wish to pursue membership, the next step is to set up a meeting with one of the elders where you will be asked to give your testimony as to how you came to know the Lord Jesus as your Savior. You will also be asked whether you have reviewed the New Member Packet and you will then have an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about the church. Finally, you will be asked to agree that you are willing to submit to elder oversight and to biblical teaching that is in accord with the doctrinal statement. If you have any questions about membership you can email the office or give us a call.
If you are a prospective member, we ask that you would also listen to the following sermons that describe our church’s history and core principles as well as our understanding of the role that elders play in leading the local church.
