The Bible begins with the declaration that God alone is the Creator and Sustainer of everyone and everything. More than that, He also precedes all things. He is “from everlasting to everlasting” (Ps. 41:13), the God who both transcends time and yet fills it with His powerful presence. The Bible begins with this truth and all that follows after this demonstrates this to be true. Only the Sovereign God of the universe could work things out for His glory and the good of His people in the midst of what seem like very difficult and confusing circumstances.
